I strapped Alistair on me, grabbed my bag, did a last check at the mirror, said bye to Amy and the babysitter, and walked out of the door to go catch the train to the city. The moment I stepped out of the house though, I knew I made two mistakes: firstly, my jacket was way too warm for the weather. Secondly, I shouldn’t have worn these new shoes.
We finally made a trip to Mornington Peninsula, after talking about it forever. Actually, we almost didn’t make it again, because the hubby and I were not feeling very well, but I’m so glad we did, because it was so so so beautiful!
Hello all! Hope you guys have been enjoying Christmas and the year-end holidays. Well, I turned another year *ahem* wiser last week. I find it pretty cool that Boxing Day is a public holiday in Australia, which means that my birthday will be a holiday forever muahaha! And, as it was my first birthday in Australia, what better way to celebrate than to spend the day with Australian animals?
We seem to have a knack for going to the beach on the wrong days. Previously we went to St Kilda when it was way too cold. And this time, it was way too hot. 34 degrees hot. Though sometimes we do wonder if we were being typical Asians, because the ang mohs were all enjoying the sun.
Well, actually it was less than a day. Just about two hours to be exact.
It was my sister-in-law’s last day in Melbourne and we didn’t want to spend the day at home, so we decided to pay St Kilda a visit! Even though it was 13 degrees… brrr. And the wind at St Kilda was icy cold! I seriously had brain freeze after being slapped by the wind for that two hours.
