A quick check-in, with a boggled mind

My husband just showed me some stats. Apparently, my blog received close to 200,000 views in July.

You read that right. Not 2. Not even 20.

200,000!!!!!

My mind is boggled!

I insisted that that cannot be true. There’s simply no way. Unless… 199,998 of that were bots or spams (at least two should be legit readers, I hope??).

But he said that is highly unlikely. Because Cloudflare is apparently very good at blocking bots or spams.

I’m still very skeptical. I mean, WHO would be reading my blog? Especially since I’ve hardly been updating (oops, sorry).

So, if you’re reading this – can you please leave a comment or drop me an email? I would really love to know who’s reading my blog

Speaking of updating…

After a three-month hiatus (really just a fancy way of saying I had cold feet and went MIA), I’ve finally updated my Stories of Yore podcast with another episode. This time it’s all about the Mid Autumn Festival and the story of the beautiful Moon Goddess, Chang Er.

If you’d like to listen to it, you can check it out on Apple Podcast or Spotify.

I don’t know yet what the next folktale will be. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!

Although I haven’t been updating this blog, I have been sending out newsletters. These newsletters give me lots of joy, because they let me go on and on about writerly thoughts; books, books and more books; art and creativity; and sometimes a random joke or two (they’re quite funny, if I say so myself).

So if you’d like to see my name pop up in your inbox more often, you can subscribe to Nat’s Scribbles & Sketches.

p.s. Sorry, the picture had nothing to do with this post. I just wanted to have a nice image to go with it.
