Fruits and Roots

I’ve always wanted to eat healthier, and to have more fruits and vegetables in my diet, but sometimes time does not permit me to chop and eat all the needed fruits and vegetables.

Enter Fruits and Roots.

[Full Disclosure: These products were sent to me for free but I am not under any obligation to write anything for them. All opinions in this post are therefore my own.]

Apparently ‘fregetables’ are now a thing in Australia? It’s basically a combination of fruits and vegetables made into juices. My initial reaction was “Hmmm I wonder if it’s yucky”, followed by “But it definitely sounds healthy”, and finally “Heck I want to try some.”

Fruits and Roots offer three flavours:

Pineapple, Passionfruit and Sweet Potato has sweet potatoes, oranges, apples, pears, pineapples, and a little bit of mango, banana, carrot and passionfruit.

Apple, Berry and Purple Carrot has apples, sweet potatoes, purple carrots, and a little bit of cranberry, strawberry and beetroot.

Apple, Pear and Spinach has apples, sweet potatoes, green apples, spinach leaves, carrot and a little bit of pear.

I will be honest. Even up to the second before I took my first sip, I was all prepared for it to be weird and maybe even disgusting. After all, I would be drinking sweet potato and spinach??

But! I was pleasantly surprised! The juices are actually quite delicious! My favourite is the Pineapple, Passionfruit and Sweet Potato, and I don’t even normally like pineapple juices!

(I tried to get Amy to drink the juices, but as usual, she just refuses to try anything new sigh.)

If you are like me and you are always wanting to have healthier drinks at home but really not that into the idea of blending your own juices (and cleaning the mess!), you can get these bottles of Fruits and Roots at any Coles near you.

You can also get more information at the Fruits and Roots website.

If you’ve tried it, let me know what you think!

Love,

Natalie
