Schools and jobs

I can’t believe it’s already mid-March! 2018 slow down!! Phew! Anyway, so many things seem to have happened since my last update.

Firstly, we have finally decided on and enrolled Amy into a school! It feels like a huge burden has been lifted off my shoulders, because now I know that she has a good school to go to in two years’ time and I can finally stop all the researching and comparing and stressing.

We have also started sending her to a childcare centre with a kinder program for a few days per week, so that she is able to make friends and learn stuff (and give me a bit of a breather!). Obviously she isn’t too pleased with it. She’s been telling me that she doesn’t want to go there anymore, but we just got to do it baby! I am quite confident that once she gets used to the place, she will be OK.

I am also planning to look for a job – part-time would be great, but full-time is good too. There’s so much unknown though. I don’t really know what kind of job I can get, because most employers here look for “local experience”, and what kind of a local experience can I have since I just moved here right??

Some friends have been asking if I’ll go back to the media world. I really don’t know. For one, I feel like I’m totally clueless about the media industry here. Secondly, I don’t think I am able to do shift hours, which is normally what working in media means.

So for now, I’m pretty open to all kinds of opportunities.

(Of course I secretly hope that I can sell my paintings and write / blog and make enough money from those but that isn’t happening yet. :P)

I hope your 2018 has been going great so far!

Love,

Natalie
