Sorry for my absence. I’ve been pretty preoccupied lately, what with Alistair becoming more mobile and cheeky and bent on disturbing his big sis. My daily task and goal is now to pry Alistair away from stealing / breaking / snatching Amy’s stuff, and also to stop Amy from prematurely scolding Alistair (for his inevitable stealing / breaking / snatching of her stuff).

Of wedding anniversary and febrile fits

We had planned it for weeks. It was to be a romantic date night away from the kids for the first time in 4 months. We were looking forward to having a yummy Korean dinner, complete with maracoons for dessert. We would have time to look at each other’s eyes and have meaningful conversations.

Being a stay home mom

For the first time since becoming a mom, I am now a fully stay-home mom with no help whatsoever. I know I risk sounding spoilt and pampered here, but the fact is that I have had help since Amy was born because we were fortunate to be living near my in-laws, and subsequently we lived with them.

Playgroup

Today I overcame my sleeplessness, bundled the kids, braved the morning cold, and visited a playgroup nearby. I had been wanting to go to a playgroup since we arrived in Melbourne, but I always had an excuse not to – too tired, too busy, too cold, too lazy (oops).

Don’t be deterred, be determined!

The┬áhubby and I decided to visit a church that is quite a distance from where we live. We had to take a taxi and spend big bucks for that 30-minute ride (and then the ride back too). The church service was in the middle of Amy’s nap time, so we had to wake her up. And hell has no fury than a child awakened prematurely from her nap. And a hungry one at that.
