First art to be given away

My obsession with drawing and painting continues. Every morning I look forward to getting out of bed because I can’t wait to paint something. And because my father-in-law is here with us for a few months, I have the luxury of painting for an HOUR every morning!

I recently drew and painted the art above for a friend, and gave it to her as a Christmas present. It’s the very first time I’ve ever drawn and painted something for someone, and I was so nervous! I probably sound a bit dramatic here, but it really feels like giving a piece of yourself away. It made me feel so… vulnerable. Haha. I’m so glad she likes it phew.

Christmas is less than a week away! We had a really nice Christmas production service at my church last weekend, and I’ve been starting the day by listening to Christmas songs and carols, so I am definitely beginning to feel Christmassy. I have also wrapped up all the kids’ presents, and I’m looking forward to us experiencing our first Christmas in Melbourne. It’s a bit of a bittersweet thing, as it’s also the first time I won’t be with my family back home. But it’s OK. All is merry and bright.

Have a good Christmas!

Love,

Natalie
