I have been wanting to get an Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palette ever since forever. YouTube beauty gurus have always been singing praises about it, and even my makeup artist at TV3 (back when I was a newscaster) highly recommended it.
The problem was, I never knew which palette to get. Should I get the original Naked? Or Naked 2? Or Naked 3??
Also, another problem was that I don’t use a lot of makeup, and my everyday look is really my everyday look – I use the same stuff over and over again. So, I really don’t need that many different shades of nudes.
That is why I was so excited when my younger sis, Pris, told me that there is the Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette! (And she gave it to me as an early birthday gift!! Thank you thank you thank you!)
This was perfect for me! It had nudes for me to use every day, as well as darker colours for those moments when I want a more pronounced smoky eye look.
I’ve used the palette about three times so far – twice with the nude colours and once with the darker smoky colours – and I have no complaints at all. They are easy to apply, very pigmented, and not flaky, as in, they won’t fall off all over your face. The colours also stayed on pretty well. By the end of the day, my eyes still looked pretty good.
I get excited every time I see the palette, and it makes me want to put on makeup every day! But of course I don’t. Because I’m home most of the days. And I don’t think Amy and Alistair care about whether or not I have makeup on.
